ތިލަދުންމަތީ އުތުރުބުރީގެ ތަޢާރަފް
ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ އެންމެ އުތުރުންވާ މި އަތޮޅަކީ ޤުދުރަތީގޮތުން 52 ރަށް އެކުލެވޭ އަތޮޅެކެވެ. މީގެތެރެއިން މީހުން
އުޅެނީ 15 ރަށުގައެވެ. އަތޮޅުގެ އާބާދީއަކީ 19،341 އެވެ. ތިލަދުންމަތީ އުތުރުބުރިއަކީ ރާއްޖޭގެ މުހިއްމު އާސާރީ އަދި ޡަގާފީ ބިނާތަކެއް އެކުލެވޭ އަތޮޅެކެވެ. މިގޮތުން އެންމެ ފާހަގަކޮށް ލެވެނީ އުތީމު ރަދުން މުހައްމަދު ތަކުރުފާނު އަލް އަޢުޡަމްގެ ގަނޑުވަރެވެ.
އަތޮޅުގައި ކުރެވޭ މައިގަނޑު މަސައްކަތް ތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން އެންމެ ކުރީގައި އުޅެނީ މަސްވެރިކަމެވެ. ވެރިކަން ކުރާ ރަށަކީ ހއ. ދިއްދޫ އެވެ. އަތޮޅާއި އެންމެކައިރި ވައިގެ ބަނދަރު ވަނީ ތިލަދުންމަތީ ދެކުނުބުރި ހަނިމާދުގައެވެ. ފަތުރުވެރިކަން ތަޢާރަފްވެ، މިއަތޮޅުގެ 2 ރަށެއްވެސް ޓޫރުސްޓް ރިޒޯޓް އަށް ހެދެމުން އެބަދެއެވެ.
Ha Alif Atoll : Introduction
Haa Alif Atoll, with 15 inhabited islands out of its 52 islands is situated as the Northern most atoll of the Republic of Maldives.
With a total of 19,341 population, the main economic main stay of this Atoll is the fishing industry. Dhidhoo being the main capital of the Atoll, the Islands are governed by their respective island offices which inturn come under the Atoll office in the capital. The Atoll office being the main adminstrative and governing body for the Atoll, Mr. Mohamed Rasheed is the current Atoll chief.
The Atoll comes under a very notable historical significance in the Maldivian history. Of note worthy is the "Utheem Radhun" or the "Utheem" King(Sultan) who ruled Maldives after liberating it from 17 years of Portuguese occupation or colonization. The Sultans Palace or "Utheemu Ganduvaru" is a historical landmark from the Haa alif Atoll, symbolizing the Utheemu Dynasty.
